Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork chops (1-inch thick & preferably bone-in)
  • kosher salt and ground black pepper (or pork chop seasoning) To taste
  • pork chop marinade (optional) Marinate for 30 minutes for enhanced flavor

Instructions

Marinating (Optional)

  • If using the marinade, place the pork chops in the marinade and let them sit for 30 minutes. Remove the pork chops, allowing any excess to drip off before grilling. Discard the marinade.

Preparation

  • Ensure grill grates are clean and preheat the grill to medium-high heat (between 350-450℉).
  • Place pork chops on a large plate. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Season with kosher salt and ground black pepper (or pork chop seasoning).
  • Use a heavy-duty piece of aluminum foil to create a foil 'tray' on the grill over direct heat and spray with avocado oil (or your preferred nonstick).

Grilling

  • Place pork chops over direct heat and close the grill. Let them cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • Flip the pork chops and let them cook another 5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 140℉.

Resting and Serving

  • Remove from the grill and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes such as mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Notes

For added flavor, try marinating the pork chops for several hours or overnight. Always let the pork chops rest after grilling to lock in the juices, making them more flavorful.
