Preparation

  • Start by peeling the hard-boiled eggs and cutting them in half lengthwise.
  • Gently scoop out the yolks and place them into a mixing bowl.
  • Add your mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to the yolks, and combine until smooth.
  • If desired, add a couple of drops of red food coloring to the mixture and swirl until you achieve the perfect eerie shade.
  • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  • Slice the black olives in half to create 'spider' decorations and place them atop your filled eggs.
  • Sprinkle with paprika before serving.

Notes

Allow the eggs to chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes for the best texture. Use cold eggs for easier peeling. Adjust flavors to your liking while mixing.
