  • 1 package puff pastry Thawed if frozen.
  • 1 cup diced ham Can substitute with turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to use other cheese varieties.
  • 1 each egg For egg wash.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares or rectangles, approximately 3-4 inches in size.
  • In a bowl, mix together the diced ham and shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place a spoonful of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold each pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the tops of the filled pastries.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These pastries are best enjoyed warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for about a month. Reheat in an oven to maintain crispiness. Consider pairing with a light salad or dipping sauce.
