Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 2 tablespoons butter For making the roux
  • 2 tablespoons flour For the roux
  • 1 cup milk Used to create the filling
  • 1 cup chopped spinach Fresh spinach adds flavor and nutrition
  • 1 cup diced ham Main protein ingredient
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese Provides creaminess and flavor
  • to taste salt Season to your preference
  • to taste pepper Season to your preference

For the Pastry

  • 1 package puff pastry Thawed and ready to use

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute until smooth.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle in salt and pepper, and fold in the chopped spinach. Stir until wilted.
  • Remove from heat and fold in the diced ham and shredded Swiss cheese until creamy.

Assembly

  • On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into 3x3 inch squares.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square. Fold over to form triangles and seal edges.

Baking

  • Transfer the puffs to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs and accompanied by dipping sauces.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for the best texture.
