  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional) For enhanced flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and precook it for about 10 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined and slightly frothy.
  • Layer the diced ham and chopped onion evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the ham and onion.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the filling in the crust.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-35 minutes, or until the quiche is puffed up and set in the center.
  • Allow the quiche to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

This quiche can be enjoyed hot, warm, or at room temperature. Serve with a salad or as part of a brunch spread. Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
