  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 4 large eggs Use room temperature for better texture.
  • 1 cup milk Dairy-free alternatives can be used.
  • 1 cup shredded ham Substitutable with bacon, sausage, or turkey.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Swiss) Use your favorite cheese.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional) Such as parsley or chives.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry to fit your pie pan. Press it gently into the pan and trim any excess.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  • Stir in the shredded ham and cheese, and optional herbs if using.

Baking

  • Pour the egg mixture into the pastry crust.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set and golden on top.
  • Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

This quiche can be enjoyed hot, warm, or at room temperature. It stores well in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze slices individually wrapped in plastic wrap and aluminum foil for up to 2 months.
