Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling

  • 1 lb pizza dough You can use store-bought dough for convenience.
  • 8 oz sliced ham
  • 8 oz sliced cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) Feel free to mix different types of cheese.

Toppings and Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 each egg (for egg wash) Beaten to brush on the stromboli.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape.
  • Layer the ham and cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other to form a log.
  • Pinch the edges to seal the filling inside.
  • Place the roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the surface of the roll for a golden finish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the honey, mustard, and poppy seeds, then drizzle it over the top of the roll.

Cooking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

To store, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days or wrap tightly and freeze for about 2 months. Reheat in the oven for best texture. Make sure to roll the dough tightly to hold in the filling, and try adding vegetables or different meats for variety.
