  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking and greasing the pan

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce adjust for spice level preference
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch to thicken the sauce

Garnishes

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • to taste pieces Fresh green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil and set it aside.
  • Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium flame. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  • Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine sriracha sauce, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, white vinegar, grated ginger, grated garlic, and cornstarch. Allow the sauce to simmer for 4-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Baking

  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are completely covered.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Once done, allow the chicken to rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the chicken to keep it juicy. Adjust the spice level by adding more or less sriracha sauce. For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours or overnight before cooking.
