Ingredients
  

For the churro bites

  • 1 box Angel food cake mix
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 4 tbsp Butter Melted
  • 1/2 cup Sugar For coating
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon For coating
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • as needed Oil for frying Vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 cup Chocolate sauce or caramel sauce for dipping For serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare angel food cake mix according to package instructions. Allow to cool completely.
  • Cut the cake into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for coating.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the cake pieces until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and immediately roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Serving

  • Serve warm with chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping.

Notes

Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid oil absorption. Don't overcrowd the pan when frying for even cooking. Adjust sugar and cinnamon to taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. If refrigerating, reheat in the oven to regain crispiness.
