Main Ingredients

  • 9 pieces No-boil lasagna noodles
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups Meat sauce (ground beef or sausage with marinara)
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Layering and Baking

  • In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce at the bottom.
  • Place a layer of no-boil noodles over the sauce.
  • Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of mozzarella.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, use a blend of cheeses such as mozzarella and provolone. You can add vegetables like zucchini or spinach for a nutritious boost. If you like it spicy, add red pepper flakes to your meat sauce. To store leftovers, let the lasagna cool completely. Cover it tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, or transfer it to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze it for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw in the fridge overnight and then bake until heated through.
