Cook the Pasta

  • In the last 3 minutes of cooking, toss in the broccoli florets and asparagus cut into 2-inch pieces, allowing them to soften slightly.

Sauté the Garlic

  • In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is shimmering, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

Combine the Ingredients

  • Add the drained pasta, broccoli, and asparagus to the skillet filled with fragrant garlic oil.

Add Lemon and Seasoning

  • Stir in the lemon zest and juice along with a pinch of salt and pepper.
