  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed Choose firm spears without blemishes.
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Chop garlic ahead of time for quicker prep.
  • 1 none lemon, juiced Garnish with an extra lemon wedge for serving.

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Allow it to warm for about 1 minute until shimmering.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  • Gently place the shrimp into the skillet, cooking for approximately 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Next, add the trimmed asparagus and lemon juice into the mix. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the asparagus is tender yet still crisp.
  • Season the dish generously with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired, adjusting according to your taste preferences.
  • Serve immediately while hot, garnished with an extra lemon wedge for added zing.

Notes

This dish can be served over rice or pasta, and garnished with fresh parsley for added color. For leftovers, store in an airtight container for 2-3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
