Ingredients
  

For the Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

For the Ribs

  • 4 pounds pork ribs Baby back or spare ribs work well.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Your favorite barbecue sauce.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar to create a dry rub.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover with another piece of foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
  • Remove the top foil and brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
  • For caramelization, finish the ribs on the grill or under the broiler for an additional 5-7 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the ribs hot, sliced between the bones on a platter with additional barbecue sauce on top.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
