Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by taking two slices of your favorite bread. Spread mayonnaise or mustard on one side of each slice for some added flavor.
  • On one slice, layer the deli meats followed by slices of cheese. You can mix and match your favorite combinations—turkey with Swiss, or ham with cheddar works beautifully!
  • Pile on the crisp lettuce, slices of juicy tomato, and any optional pickles you love. This extra crunch gives a delightful contrast to the softness of the bread and filling.
  • Place the second slice of bread on top, mayo or mustard side facing down. Press gently to secure the layers together, then cut the sandwich into smaller, manageable pieces for easy eating.
  • Place your mini sandwiches in a lunchbox alongside your choice of assorted vegetables and fresh fruits, like carrot sticks and grapes, for a well-rounded, satisfying meal.

Notes

These mini sandwiches are delightful served at room temperature. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze the sandwiches tightly wrapped in plastic wrap.
