  • 2 cups fresh mint leaves Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water For making the simple syrup.
  • 2 cups bourbon
  • 4 cups club soda Add just before serving.

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes until the sugar dissolves completely, creating a simple syrup. Allow it to cool.
  • In a large pitcher, muddle the fresh mint leaves with the simple syrup to release the mint's essential oils.
  • Add the bourbon and club soda to the pitcher, stirring gently to combine all ingredients without losing carbonation.

Serving

  • Serve the punch over ice in cups or glasses.
  • Garnish each serving with additional mint sprigs.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container. Avoid adding club soda until ready to serve.
