  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), cocoa powder, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until everything is thoroughly blended.
  • Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9x9 inch square pan. Use a spatula or your hands to ensure an even and compact layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set. The bars will firm up as they cool.
  • Once set, cut into bars and enjoy the delicious chocolatey treat!

Notes

These bars can be served chilled or at room temperature. For extra presentation, drizzle melted chocolate on top. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.
