Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk Can substitute with almond milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined (lumps are okay).

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and grease lightly.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm on a plate with maple syrup, honey, or fruit syrup.
  • Add fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or bananas on top and finish with whipped cream or powdered sugar.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter; it’s okay if there are lumps. Allow the skillet to heat properly before pouring in the batter for a nice golden color. If you want thicker pancakes, add more flour. You can also experiment with add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts.
