  • 2 pieces chicken sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add orzo and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until orzo is cooked.
  • Add steamed broccoli and parmesan cheese, stirring until well mixed.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Serve warm with chopped parsley on top for extra color. Pair with a simple side salad or crusty bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
