  • 1 lb ground beef We recommend using lean ground beef.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes Optional, for heat.
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups milk Or heavy cream for extra richness.
  • 12 oz pasta Penne, rotini, or fettuccine.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking it up until browned.
  • Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in beef broth and milk. Stir well.
  • Add pasta and Italian seasoning, making sure the pasta is mostly submerged.
  • Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan.
  • Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad!

Notes

To store leftovers, let the pasta cool completely before placing it in an airtight container. Keep it in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat with a splash of milk or broth to restore creaminess.
