  • 8 oz pasta Any type of pasta can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the garlic.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust amount to taste.
  • 2 cups milk Use plant-based milk for a vegan version.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Can be substituted with mozzarella or other favorite cheeses.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the pasta and milk to the pot. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook until the pasta is al dente and the milk has thickened, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of milk if the pasta seems dry. You can also add cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables for extra flavor.
