  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

For the filling

  • 1 package (3.9 oz) chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

For topping

  • Oreo crumbs For sprinkling on top
  • Gummy worms For decoration

Instructions

Crust Preparation

  • Begin by crushing the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a resealable bag and smashing them with a rolling pin.
  • Mix these crumbs with the melted butter until fully combined.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a pie dish to create a sturdy crust.

Pudding Mixture

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk.
  • Continue stirring for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.

Fold in Whipped Topping

  • Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture to give your filling a light and airy texture. Be careful not to overmix.

Assemble the Pie

  • Pour the chocolate pudding mixture into the prepared Oreo crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Generously sprinkle Oreo crumbs over the top of the pudding layer.
  • Place gummy worms strategically on top for decoration.

Chill

  • Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly.

Notes

Serve chilled with optional toppings like vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, or fresh mint leaves. Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
