Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast Tender and shredded.
  • 1 cup pesto sauce Use store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 package slider buns Could use gluten-free buns for adaptation.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded For gooey texture.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated For extra flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • to taste Olive oil For brushing the buns.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken breast for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Shred the chicken using two forks or your hands.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the pesto sauce, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom buns.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the chicken layer.
  • Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese, gently pressing down.
  • Brush the tops of the buns with olive oil.
  • Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  • Pull apart the sliders and serve warm.

Notes

These sliders are best served hot, with cheese ooey-gooey and chicken juicy. Can be plated with fresh basil or parsley.
