  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the popped popcorn, mini marshmallows, and M&M's. Stir gently to distribute the ingredients evenly without crushing the popcorn.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, usually taking about 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
  • Add sugar to the melted butter and stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in the vanilla extract, making sure the mixture is fragrant and slightly thick.
  • Pour the melted mixture over the popcorn mixture and stir gently until everything is well coated.
  • Press the mixture into a greased cake pan, using a spatula or lightly greased fingers to ensure an even layer.
  • Allow the cake to cool and set for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares or serving.

Notes

For best results, serve at room temperature and consider pairing with milk or ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
