  • 1-2 tsp butter of choice

Cinnamon Apples Ingredients

  • 1-2 apples, diced Use fresh, crisp apples for best texture.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Splash water

Preparation

  • In a pot, combine porridge oats, milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  • In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a splash of water. Cook until apples are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve the porridge topped with the cinnamon apples.

Notes

You can add extra maple syrup or a dollop of yogurt if desired. For a creamier texture, use whole milk or a cream alternative. Stir in nuts or seeds for added crunch, and add dried fruits for extra flavor if desired.
