  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped For a smokier flavor, use smoked bacon.
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, molasses, brown sugar, maple syrup, chopped bacon, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Mix thoroughly and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm alongside grilled meats and creamy coleslaw. If you have leftovers, let them cool to room temperature and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. You can reheat them on the stove or in the oven.
