Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy—about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  • Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.

Baking

Notes

For best texture, make sure your butter and eggs are at room temperature. If time allows, chilling the dough for 30 minutes can enhance flavors and prevent excessive spreading.
