  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking.
  • Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
  • Add the sausage, breaking it apart and cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Toss in the chopped cabbage (and any optional vegetables) and stir well to combine.
  • Cook until the cabbage is wilted and tender, about 5-8 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a cohesive meal, serve the stir fry in a large bowl and garnish with fresh herbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
