  • 4 blocks 4 blocks ramen noodles (12 oz total, flavor packets discarded)
  • 6 cloves 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Garnishes

  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Cooking the Noodles

  • Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, and discard the seasoning packets.

Making the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the brown sugar and soy sauce.

Combining and Serving

  • Toss the sauce with the cooked ramen noodles and serve immediately.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in a skillet with a little water or in the microwave until heated through. Tips: Stir garlic well to avoid burning, adjust soy sauce or brown sugar to taste, and add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
