Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef (80/20 fat content) Use quality ground beef for juicy burgers.
  • 4 pieces burger buns (preferably brioche) Brioche buns add a rich flavor.
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese Cheddar melts well on burgers.
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped Adds flavor and texture.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.
  • Oil for frying Oil for frying Use enough to coat the pan.

Baconnaise Ingredients

  • 100 g bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled Crispy bacon adds crunch and flavor.
  • 200 g mayonnaise Forms the base of the baconnaise.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce Enhances umami flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Adds a savory depth.
  • 1 tsp onion powder For extra onion flavor.

Instructions
 

Bacon Preparation

  • Cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and let cool.
  • Crumble the cooled bacon into small pieces.

Make Baconnaise

  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Add the crumbled bacon to the mayonnaise mixture and stir well. Refrigerate to firm up and blend flavors.

Burger Preparation

  • Place ground beef in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and gently mix.
  • Divide beef into four equal portions and shape into loose balls.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil.
  • Place meatballs in the pan, press down gently to form patties about 1.5 cm thick.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until bottom is browned.
  • Flip burgers, place cheese on each patty, and cover to melt for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Assembly

  • Remove burgers from the pan and let rest.
  • Slice burger buns and toast the insides in the same pan until golden brown.
  • Spread baconnaise on each bottom bun.
  • Add the burgers with melted cheese on top.
  • Sprinkle chopped onions on the burgers.
  • Spread baconnaise on the top halves of the buns and place on the burgers.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra toppings, consider lettuce, tomatoes, or pickles. To store leftovers, refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 days.
