Ingredients
  

For the Burgers

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend) Use high-fat ground beef for juicier burgers.
  • 4 pieces soft burger buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses like Swiss or pepper jack.
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced Optional, add if desired.

For the House Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika Customize the sauce by adding spices or ingredients.

Instructions
 

Prepare the House Sauce

  • In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika to make the house sauce.

Cook the Burgers

  • Preheat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Shape ground beef into six loose balls (approximately 6 ounces each).
  • Place each ball on the hot surface and smash it down with a spatula. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes until crispy, then flip the patties and add shredded cheese on top.
  • Cover loosely until cheese melts (about 1 minute).

Assemble the Burgers

  • Spread house sauce on both bun halves.
  • Place a patty on one half, add pickles if desired, and top with the other half.

Notes

Serve hot off the grill with crispy fries, onion rings, or a fresh side salad. Leftover burgers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
