For the Rolls

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 1/4 cup frosting (vanilla or cream cheese) Feel free to use your favorite frosting.
  • Cooking spray or oil (for the griddle) Use as needed to prevent sticking.

Preparation

  • Preheat your griddle over medium heat (about 375°F) and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
  • Open the can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls and gently separate each roll.
  • Using the palm of your hand, smash each roll flat to create a pancake-like shape.

Cooking

  • Place the smashed rolls on the preheated griddle and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and bubbling at the edges.
  • Once cooked, remove the rolls from the griddle and generously top with frosting before serving.

Notes

Serve hot or warm, ideally fresh off the griddle. Serve with coffee or milk and consider garnishing with nuts or fresh fruit. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
