  • 4 pieces Turkey wings Choose fresh, plump wings for the best flavor.

Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Paprika

Wood Chips for Smoking

  • 2 cups Hickory wood chips You can also use apple or cherry wood for a milder flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Select high-quality, fresh turkey wings.
  • Season the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub the seasoning generously over the wings.
  • Let the wings sit in the fridge for a few hours or overnight to enhance flavor.

Smoking Process

  • Preheat your smoker to 225–250°F (107–121°C).
  • Add the hickory wood chips to the smoker.
  • Place the seasoned turkey wings in the smoker and smoke for 2 to 3 hours, checking the internal temperature.
  • The wings are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) or higher for extra tenderness.
  • Let the wings rest for 10 minutes before serving to redistribute juices.

Notes

Brining the wings before smoking helps keep them moist. For added flavor, consider basting them during the smoking process with apple juice or vinegar.
