S'mores Overnight Oats

Ingredients
  

Oatmeal Base

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (or any milk alternative) Use almond, coconut, or oat milk if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder Substitute with carob powder for alternative taste.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup To make it vegan, use maple syrup.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows Can substitute with other toppings.
  • 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers Try flavored graham crackers for a twist.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
  • Divide the oatmeal mixture into jars or containers. Layer mini chocolate chips, followed by mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers on top.

Chilling

  • Seal the containers tightly and refrigerate overnight.

Serving

  • In the morning, stir the oats, add more toppings if desired, and enjoy either cold or warmed.

Notes

Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to five days. Freeze in freezer-safe containers for up to three months. To reheat, warm gently in the microwave.
