  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour Can be substituted with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Mix the wet ingredients: Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is combined.
  • Whisk the dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Combine the mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Add the topping: Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool: Let the bread rest in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
