  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour or substitute with gluten-free flour blend if needed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1 tsp herbs such as rosemary or thyme, optional

For Rolling

  • as needed water to achieve a slightly tacky dough
  • as needed flour for dusting the surface while rolling

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough discard, all-purpose flour, olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings like garlic powder and herbs.
  • Mix until a dough forms, adding water gradually for a slightly tacky consistency.
  • Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Cut the rolled dough into desired shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Experiment with various herbs and spices to customize flavors.
