Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed Use boneless, skinless chicken breast.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce For a gluten-free option, use tamari.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar Provides a tangy flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a nutty aroma.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated Fresh is best for flavor.

For Serving

  • 2 cups jasmine rice Cook according to package instructions.
  • 2 green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

  • Cook the jasmine rice according to package instructions.

Cooking

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat and add cubed chicken. Cook until browned.
  • Pour the sauce mix over the chicken and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.

Serving

  • Serve the sticky chicken over the jasmine rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave, adding a splash of water or extra sauce for moisture. You can adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less honey.
