Preparation

  • Cut the angel food cake into 1-inch cubes using a serrated knife for clean cuts.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth, beating on medium speed for 2-3 minutes.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream using a spatula to maintain a fluffy texture.
  • Layer the cake cubes, strawberry slices, and cream mixture in a dessert dish, starting with cake, then strawberries, and finally the cream mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cream on top.
  • Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes
