Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend.
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut mold pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the pureed strawberries with sugar and melted butter.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk until the batter is smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the donut mold, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before removing from the pan.

Notes

Best served fresh. You can sprinkle them with powdered sugar or drizzle icing on top for added flavor. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
