Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package instant yeast About 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk Warmed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped Use fresh strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk For glaze consistency.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
  • Gradually introduce the wet mixture to the dry ingredients until a dough begins to form.

Kneading

  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  • Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Rolling and Filling

  • Once risen, roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle, approximately 12x8 inches in size.
  • Spread melted butter evenly over the dough, and then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mix across the surface.
  • Disperse the chopped strawberries over the cinnamon-sugar layer.
  • Tightly roll the dough from one end to the other, forming a log.
  • Slice the log into 1-inch rolls.

Final Rise and Baking

  • Place the rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and bubbly at the edges.

Glazing and Serving

  • For the glaze, mix the icing sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  • Drizzle this over the warm rolls before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

These rolls are best enjoyed warm. For storing leftovers, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
