  • 2 cups instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup whipped cream For folding into the pudding mixture
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling For layering and topping
  • Fresh strawberries optional Fresh strawberries for garnish For garnish

Preparation

  • Prepare the angel food cake according to package instructions and let it cool.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream until combined.
  • Cut the angel food cake into three layers.

Assembly

  • On the first layer, spread a portion of the pudding mixture and top with some strawberry pie filling.
  • Place the second layer on top and repeat the layering process.
  • Place the final cake layer on top and spread the remaining pudding mixture over the entire cake.
  • Top with the remaining strawberry pie filling and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled and consider adding fresh strawberries or whipped cream for garnish. The cake should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and can last up to three days.
