Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure it's melted but not hot.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the dry ingredients until combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Allow to cool, then top with chopped strawberries and whipped cream. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Brownies are best enjoyed fresh but can stay delightful even the next day if stored properly. Can be prepared a day in advance; add strawberries and whipped cream right before serving. To store, cover with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container. Lasts at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to a week. Can be frozen if wrapped well.
