Ingredients
  

For the Beef

  • 500 g beef strips
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can be substituted with tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper

For the Vegetables

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

For Serving

  • Cooked rice Cooked rice for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix beef strips with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, stir-fry the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  • Return the beef to the pan, add the sweet chilli sauce, and stir well to coat, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  • Serve the Sweet Chilli Shredded Beef over warm cooked rice, garnished as desired.

Notes

Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for extra flair. Pair with fresh cucumber salad or steamed broccoli.
