Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked rice Make sure it is sticky enough, sushi rice works best.
  • 1 can Tuna Canned tuna works perfectly.
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Adjust to your taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 sheets Dry roasted seaweed (nori)

Optional Toppings

  • to taste Sesame seeds For extra flavor.
  • to taste Green onions, sliced For garnishing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with salt.
  • In another bowl, combine tuna with mayonnaise.
  • Wet your hands with water and take a small amount of rice.
  • Make an indentation in the center of the rice and place a spoonful of the tuna mixture inside.
  • Cover the tuna with more rice and shape it into a ball or triangle.
  • Wrap the rice ball with a piece of dry roasted seaweed.
  • Serve immediately or pack for lunch.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Best eaten the same day, but can last for up to two days. Be aware that the seaweed may become soft if stored for too long. For variations, consider adding diced avocado, chopped vegetables, or sriracha for a spicy kick.
