Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 slices slices of bread Any bread of choice, such as sourdough or whole grain.
  • 4 oz turkey breast slices Can use deli slices or cooked whole turkey breast, thinly sliced.
  • 2 slices bacon Crisp for added texture.
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach Fresh spinach recommended for best flavor.
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese Or substitute with other cheeses like gouda or pepper jack.
  • Butter for spreading For grilling, yields a golden, crispy crust.

Instructions

Cooking the Bacon

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip the bacon halfway through for even cooking. Remove and set aside on a paper towel to drain.

Assembling the Sandwich

  • Layer the turkey, spinach, crispy bacon, and cheddar cheese on one slice of bread evenly.
  • Place the second slice of bread on top to create a sandwich.

Grilling the Sandwich

  • Spread butter on the outside of both slices of bread.
  • Heat the skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet, grilling until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and grill the other side until the cheese melts and the second side is golden.

Serving

  • Transfer the sandwich to a cutting board, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm with a side of fries or salad. Can also be customized with different toppings and sauces.
