Preparation

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, stirring gently.
  • Once the butter is melted, toss in the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  • Remove from heat and fold in Rice Krispies cereal until well-coated.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then wet your hands and shape it into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  • Place the formed balls onto a sheet of wax paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over each Rice Krispie ball and decorate with holiday sprinkles and colored sugar.
  • Let the balls cool to set before serving.

Notes

These treats can be made a day or two in advance. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be frozen and thawed before serving.
