  • 5 pieces chicken thighs, skinless and boneless
  • 1 teaspoon 21 Salute Seasoning or any poultry seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For searing the chicken
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese or other cheese, finely grated
  • 2 teaspoons dill, finely chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Season chicken with seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  • Melt butter in an oven-proof skillet over medium heat, add chicken thighs, and sear for 2-3 minutes or until golden color on both sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  • Melt more butter in the skillet, add garlic, and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add flour and stir continuously for 1 minute.
  • Slowly pour in chicken broth and cook, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens (about 1 minute).
  • Pour in heavy whipping cream and stir.
  • Add cheese, season to taste, then coat each chicken thigh in the creamy sauce.

Baking

  • Place in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, uncovered, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Garnish with dill and more cheese if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in the seasoning for a few hours before cooking. You can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for added nutrition. If you want a bit more spice, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce. This dish pairs well with fresh vegetables or a side of rice.
