Ingredients
  

Meat and Dairy

  • 8 oz ground turkey Can substitute with ground chicken or lean beef.
  • 2 tbsp mozzarella cheese, shredded Adds a cheesy richness to each bite.

Vegetables and Herbs

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor and aroma.
  • 2 tbsp basil, chopped Fresh basil brings in a burst of brightness.
  • 2 tbsp zucchini, shredded Must be well-drained to avoid sogginess.

Seasonings and Flavor Enhancers

  • 1 tsp green pesto Infuses meatballs with aromatic herbs.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped basil, shredded zucchini, and pesto.
  • Add in the mozzarella cheese, and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Use your hands to gently mix everything until combined.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
  • Place the meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring spacing for even cooking.
  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serving

  • Serve these meatballs with a side of steamed veggies, a fresh salad, or zucchini noodles.

Notes

Make ahead and store in the fridge for up to two days. Freezer-friendly; store in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Reheat on stovetop, oven, or microwave.
