Ingredients
  

Pork Chops

  • 4 pieces pork chops Bone-in for more flavor recommended.

Seasoning and Oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust based on personal preference.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Sauce Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon, chopped Cook until crispy.
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth Vegetable broth can be used for a vegetarian dish.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or milk for a lighter version.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening) Mix with a little water before adding.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish For serving.

Preparation

  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops on both sides until browned. Remove and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same pot, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  • Return the pork chops to the pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through.
  • If you desire a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the pot, cooking until thickened.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

These pork chops pair wonderfully with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables. To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
